Writing update

I think it’s about time to post about the status of my writing.

Where is my..?

The story of Esther, looking for her basket, is finished, I’m only waiting for the illustrations. Once they are done and after formatting, the story will be ready to be published.

For the curious ones, a reading of the first chapter is available on my YouTube channel. The even more curious one can contact me to be a beta-reader.

I have broad ideas about three more entries to the series, one of them is half-written already. I plan on eventually getting illustrations for all of the entries in the series, including the two already published.

Karantha invaded

I originally started writing this fantasy novel during NaNoWriMo 2020. While I managed to finish the story at that time, it has since grown and matured in my mind. The magic system is more detailed, and the worldbuilding more flashed-out.

The writing is at what I’d call draft 0.5. It’s finished like in a first draft, but I will have to expand it using all the new ideas I got since finishing it. And probably change the ending a bit. I’m currently shelving it in order to work on other projects first.

The carriage

This is a microfiction I wrote years ago in my native language, Slovene. I’ve recently translated it into English and am now contemplating whether to leave it as a microfiction (300 words) or expanding it into either flash-fiction or short story.

Time travel sci-fi

This is the project I will be working on next. I’m currently in the process of discovering the plot points and writing down every idea.

The story will follow a guy that discovered time travel in order to improve the life of his family. But he will soon discover that messing with the timeline can have unforeseen consequences.

Other

As any writer can testify, we are always juggling multiple ideas. The ones I’m currently toying with fall into two broad categories.

The first one is dystopian settings. Most are only an idea, but one already has a semblance of a beginning of a plot.

The other group is stories connected to the Karantha story. Both a set of prequels and a book about the mythology of the land.

There’s actually also a third one, that has to do with drawing… but let’s keep that under wraps for now.
