The anthology that features my short story Kresnik and Zlatorog was released today! Visit Shtriga for more information on where to find Slavic Supernatural: An Anthology of Slavic-Inspired Speculative Fiction. We also had a live YouTube launch party, which can be accessed here. My story is heavily inspired by a Slovenian folk tale, Krivopetnice in zlatorog. Zlatorog is a legendary being that features in a number of Slovenian tales, usually described as a white mountain goat with golden horns. My retelling of this tale is told from the perspective of Branimir, a young kresnik (people who can use magic, guardians).

Zlatorog is a legendary being that features in a number of Slovenian folk tales. One of them is Krivopetnice in zlatorog, where I looked for inspiration for my short story.

The even more curious one can contact me to be a beta-reader. I have broad ideas about three more entries to the series, one of them is half-written already. I plan on eventually getting illustrations for all of the entries in the series, including the two already…
