The end of the year is typically a time to both look back at what we accomplished and to set our sights on the future. This year I wrote and illustrated a picture book, something I never thought I’d do. What started as a challenge then grew into a passion project and finally became something I’m proud of. Then I wrote a short story for an anthology and got accepted. It’s a retelling of an old Slovenian folk tale, with an added wizard-like person, a kresnik.
