- Slavic Supernatural releaseThe anthology that features my short story Kresnik and Zlatorog was released today! Visit Shtriga for more information on where to find Slavic Supernatural: An Anthology of Slavic-Inspired Speculative Fiction. We also had a live YouTube launch party, which can be accessed here. My story is heavily inspired by a Slovenian folk tale, Krivopetnice in zlatorog. Zlatorog is a legendary being that features in a number of Slovenian tales, usually described as a white mountain goat with golden horns. My retelling of this tale is told from the perspective of Branimir, a young kresnik (people who can use magic, guardians).

This year I wrote and illustrated a picture book, something I never thought I’d do. What started as a challenge then grew into a passion project and finally became something I’m proud of. Then I wrote a short story for an anthology and got accepted. It’s a retelling of an old Slovenian folk tale, with an added wizard-like person, a kresnik. And lastly, after a year-long hiatus, I continued writing my time travel novel. I’m using something akin to the snowflake method to push through…

- Writing updateI think it’s about time to post about the status of my writing. Where is my..? The story of Esther, looking for her basket, is finished, I’m only waiting for the illustrations. Once they are done and after formatting, the story will be ready to be published. For the curious ones, a reading of the first chapter is available on my YouTube channel. The even more curious one can contact me to be a beta-reader. I have broad ideas about three more entries to the series, one of them is half-written already.
